dear baby boy,

well, you have been out as long as you have been in!

it seems like you are more of a kid than a baby these days. while it makes me excited and proud to watch you learn new things, it also makes me sad. you are growing up! it's a good thing, i know- but my heart tugs a little each time i see you practicing your independence.

you are a little flirt! i love taking you with me everywhere! you bat your big blue eyes & wave your sweet little pageant wave at people in the grocery store or at the doctor's office. i love the way you brighten the day of anyone you come into contact with.

you are still a mama's boy, but when daddy gets home from work, i am chopped liver! you think dad is the funniest guy on earth, & i guess i don't blame you. he is pretty silly. but as far as saying "da-da" before "ma-ma"... what's up with that, dude?

three teeth! i miss that toothless grin, but those two cute little pearly whites on the bottom and the one on top make your little smile so sweet. plus, now you can chomp through graham crackers (your favorite snack!) with ease.

daddy wants to cut your hair, but i refuse! i love those little wispy blondish reddish strands, especially right after bath time when you smell so sweet & you want to nuzzle in between me & daddy to warm up.

all of your aunties and grandmas (& even friends!) offer to babysit you all the time because you are so fun to be around.

henry andrew, my son- you are so silly & sweet & smart. you are so loved by everyone. i am so proud to be your mama! i can't wait to see what the next couple of months have in store for us.
